FOOD PREP: Meal Prep with Kristin Brinkman!

SUNDAY FOOD PREP W/ BRINKMAN!


"If you fail to plan, you plan to fail..."


This past Sunday, Kristin invited me (made me) come over for to prepare food for the week. I brought my own meats and she hit up Aldi for some veggies/fruit and we split costs.


It was nice to walk out with meals in zip-locks and knowing I have NO EXCUSE now for driving through a drive-thru for meals. It's still a challenge, but the feeling of "validity" is eliminated when I now have food pre-cooked, fresh veggies AND the microwave meals I stocked the work freezer with in order to have "go-to" items.


Kristin grilled up my ground turkey breast and suggested I add some green onions to the mix for flavor - YUM! There is a 1/2 slice of cheese on each burger. These seriously are SOOO so good, not dry and have a lot of flavor. She normally mixes her turkey with ground beef to avoid them being dry and kept joking about me gagging on them this week because they are so dry and flavorless, but I'm pleased to say she was VERY wrong. They are GREAT!


I have the following items ready for consumption:
food sorted and bagged



  • Grilled Turkey Burgers w/ Cheese
  • Teriyaki Flavored Chicken Breasts
  • Sliced Green & Yellow Bell Peppers
  • Fresh broccoli
  • Fresh cut romaine lettuce mixed with baby spinach and green onions (for salad)
  • 1 Grapefruit
  • Oranges





We are ready to go and each of us has challenged the other!

HER CHALLENGE FOR ME:

NO FAST FOOD this week (weekends are exception)!!!

MY CHALLENGE FOR KRISTIN:
Once she returns from Vegas - start back on Chantix to quit smoking!!!
